Basketball rules

Time in Iceland

In 7-10th grade there are 4x8 minutes and 1 minute each break time and 5 minutes half time. And the coach can take two time outs in the 1.half and three in the 2.half.

After 10.grade there is 4x10 minutes so each quarter is 10 minutes, with break time 1 minute after the 1. and 3.quarter, then half time is 10-15 minutes. Every team has two timeouts in the 1. half then three in the 2. half.

Then if there is a tie after the 4x10 minutes there is over time or OT as it is called, because there has to be a winner. That time is 5 minutes long and if you have any time outs left you can use them or if you have used all of them. Now the seconds of the game every offense is 24 seconds long and if the offense players get the rebound after a shot the get 14  seconds if it hits the ring. the offense team has 8 seconds to get the ball over the middle after a scored basket or a rebound. In every inbound you have 5 seconds to get the ball on the court and out of your hands. Then there is the 3 seconds rule if a player stands in the paint area for three seconds or more the opponents get the ball.

Time in the USA:

In high school the game is made up of four 8.minute quarters or 2x16 minutes. Then in college its 2x20 which means four 10 minute quarters, the shot clock is 35 seconds every offense in womens and mens is 30 seconds. And it is also 4x10  in the WNBA and in international games. But in the NBA the games are made up from four 12 minutes quarters and the shot clock is 24 seconds. Time outs high schools teams have three 60 sec time outs and two 30 sec so five per game. College the time outs are a little diffrent if the game is on TV each team has one 60 sec and four 30 seconds. If it's not on TV the have four 75 sec and two 30 second time outs. But the NBA every team has six full time outs and one 20 second per half but only a player in the game can call a time out.

A basketball uniform is a type of uniform worn by basketball players. Basketball uniforms consist of a jersey that features the number and name or last name of the player on the back, players don´t always have they´r name on the back, they also wear shorts and athletic shoes. Within teams, players wear uniforms representing the team colors; the home team typically wears a lighter colored (often white) uniform, while the visiting team wears a darker colored uniform.

Different basketball leagues have different specifications for the type of uniform that is allowed on the court. Early in the history of the sport, basketball was played in any type of athletic clothing, but by the 1900s, special uniforms were developed and marketed to basketball players. The style, cut, and fit of basketball uniforms evolved throughout subsequent decades, often modeled after the general fashion trends of the day. In Iceland you can were compressed clothes underneath but if more than one person is wearing compressed clothes the colors have to match. In the NBA you can wear a undergarments but the cannot be belove your game pants or have logos, a trim or decorations on it plus it has to be in a similar color to match the jersey.
